Heritage and hospitality
Argyll’s Brook Street buildings are among their most refined — airy rooms, original features and a quiet sense of sophistication. But the ageing interiors no longer reflected the level of experience their clients expect.
Working closely with Argyll’s project team, Zentura developed a design that respected the Grade II listed architecture while introducing a more contemporary, hospitality‑led feel. The goal was to create a consistent aesthetic across both sites: elegant, discreet and unmistakably Argyll. Every decision balanced heritage preservation with the need for a modern, premium client experience.

Designed for quiet excellence
The design concept focused on subtle luxury — refined materials, soft colour palettes and understated detailing that complemented the buildings’ character.
Boardrooms, client lounges and washrooms were fully reimagined to feel more welcoming and more aligned with Argyll’s brand. The scheme introduced improved lighting, refreshed finishes and carefully selected furnishings to elevate the everyday experience without overwhelming the architecture.
The result was a cohesive design language that worked across both buildings, enhancing their charm while delivering a more polished, contemporary feel.

Delivered without disruption
With both buildings fully occupied, the entire programme was delivered out of hours — a demanding schedule that required precision, coordination and absolute respect for the client environment.
Zentura managed simultaneous refurbishments, including sandblasting stone façades, full redecoration, joinery, washroom upgrades and complete refreshes of client‑facing areas.
Despite the complexity, the project remained on track and on programme. The result was two transformed spaces delivered with minimal disruption, giving Argyll a refreshed, premium offer in one of their most important locations.
