Challenge

ATE needed a single, open‑plan workspace that supported teamwork, reflected their brand and allowed room for further growth.

Process

Zentura worked within tight budget and time constraints to design and deliver a new 2,500 sq ft headquarters in Colchester.

Outcome

A bright, on‑brand workspace that enhances collaboration, efficiency and future scalability.

Built on existing trust

ATE were already well known to Zentura. When the need for a new workspace became urgent, they wanted a partner who would be open, communicative and honest about what was achievable within their budget.

Zentura listened closely, clarified priorities and developed a concept that met operational needs without overcomplicating the brief. High levels of day‑to‑day communication between both teams allowed decisions to be made quickly and kept the project moving at pace.

Designed for growth and teamwork

The design focused on bringing previously dispersed teams together into a single, open‑plan environment that encouraged collaboration while still supporting focused work. The new space combined spacious desking with a variety of collaboration and quiet zones, including integrated banquette seating and sound‑proofed booths.

Eye‑catching graphics and on‑brand finishes created a highly visual environment that felt distinctly ATE. The layout maximised every square foot, creating a headquarters that not only works for today but can flex as the business continues to grow.

Delivered despite constraints

Zentura delivered the relocation and Cat A/Cat B works in just six weeks, working to a tight budget and against the backdrop of Covid‑related supply and sourcing challenges. Potential obstacles were addressed early, and alternatives were found where necessary to keep the project on track.

Regular updates and clear accountability gave ATE full visibility of progress, ensuring there were no surprises. The result was a smooth transition into a new, purpose‑built workspace that supports their teams and their customers.

The Experience

What better looks like

This project was about making work better. Not louder. Not trendier. Just better.

Better for their people: with a single, cohesive workspace that feels energising and connected.

Better for collaboration: with varied spaces that support quick conversations and deeper teamwork.

Better for brand: with a bold, on‑brand environment that reflects who ATE are.

And better for growth: because a workspace that fits today and flexes for tomorrow underpins long‑term success.
