Award-winning serviced operator BE Offices approached Zentura when they wanted to transform their ground floor reception space in Aldgate into a stunning coworking space for their clients to use. This was a fascinating and highly complex project, requiring an aggressive phased delivery timescale in a sensitive occupied space, ensuring the reception service remained operational throughout the duration of the project and minimising disruption to clients using the building.

This project involved removing and replacing the front facade of the building to create a spectacular new entrance with full height glazed elevations to let maximum light into the new space. The original reception was relocated and the area sectioned off to allow for delivery of the first phase – the creation of a magnificent new reception, client lounge, and barista-served bar.
The original office space was stripped back to the bare shell and new HVAC, lighting systems and associated mechanical services installed. New high specification Italian porcelain flooring was installed to the lounge and bar area and timber parquet flooring to the coworking and common areas.
Bespoke joinery pieces were installed, including a stunning bar counter and reception desk, with some exquisite details. High-quality furniture and soft full height curtains were then installed to complete the look.
Once this phase had been opened back up and handed over, the next phase was to strip back the temporary reception area. This was then turned into The Auditorium – a bespoke set of bleacher-style seating with integrated AV technology. New phone booths were installed and the common areas refurbished to the same standard. New building signage was installed to the exterior and the result is a stunning new client experience to this building.
